The St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled is hosting the Explorer Scouts program designed specifically for individuals with disabilities, as part of the Boy Scouts of America program. Parents are encouraged to participate with their children. Current members are from the North County area but we hope to involve students from other school districts. The group meets one Thursday a month and one Saturday to either do work at our resource center or to help at other sites. The Explorers recently helped remove tree branches and other debris, as well as put gravel in one of our flower beds, in preparation for our upcoming Memory Trail dedication on May 18, 2012. For more information about the Explorers or to join, please call Susan or Jody at 573-747-1596.
