It is Almost Summer Time!!!

And we all know what that means...
Summer Fun in the Sun AND the Moon!!!
After going over the ballots we passed out at bowling, we have added a few more items to our list of things to do this summer.

Fishing Day

The first 30 people to sign up will have the chance to "catch the big one". The date is Monday June 12, 2017 at Lake Capri in Terre Du Lac. We will leave from the St. Francois County Board office around 9:15am and arrive back at 2:30pm. Please make sure you have a ride to and from the County Board office. If you are going fishing and work at the Workshop, you can ride the bus to work and get on the bus that will be going to the County Board office to pick up everyone else. When the bus arrives back at the County Board office you will stay on the bus and ride home like you normally do. The Sports Guild will be providing sunscreen, fishing poles, bait, a snack lunch, and a fish fry to everyone.

Swimming at the Park

This year we have reserved the Park Hills Pool and Desloge Pool. We will be swimming on June 22, 2017 at the Park Hills Pool from 5:30pm - 7:30pm and on August 16, 2017 we will be at the Desloge Pool from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. We will have snacks at both places. Space is unlimited so everyone can attend one or the other or both. Just let me know if you are swimming to make sure we have enough food for everyone.

Muny Opera

This is a new event and one that we are very excited about attending. We have tickets to 2 different shows: July 17, 2017 -- All Shook Up and July 31,2017 -- Chorus Line. We will leave the St. Francois County Board office around 5:00pm, stop and get something to eat and arrive at the Muny. The shows start at 8:15pm. We probably won't get back to the St. Francois County Board office until close to midnight. If you want to attend, we ask that you only pick one show. We are taking 10 people to each show. We want everyone to be know that the shows are at night, the Muny is an outdoor show, there will be some walking to get to our seats, it could be hot at that time of night and it will be very late when we get back to the County Board office. Please make sure you have someone to bring you to the County Board office and pick you up when we arrive back at the County Board office.

Cardinal Ballgame

"Take me out to the BallGame" September 12, 2017 will be the date and the Cardinals will be playing the Cincinnati Reds. The game starts at 7:15pm. We will leave the St. Francois County Board office at 2:45pm and pick those up at Workshop at 3:00pm. At this time we are planning on eating within the ballpark. There are a wide variety of food venues to pick from and once we eat, we can find our seats. As in the past, we are limited to 40 people attending the game. Please make sure you have someone to drop you off at the County Board office and pick you up when we arrive back at the Board office.

Six Flags

September 30, 2017 is the first weekend for Fright Night and we will be there. Tickets are limited to the first 11 people to sign up. If you want to go, please know that you will be doing a lot of walking, possibly waiting and standing in line for rides, and the weather can be unpredictable. We will have more information on this when the date gets closer. Since it is "Fright Night" we will be staying late to enjoy all the festivities associated with Halloween.
